Living one’s life without God in it fuels depression

The recent tragic death of Robin Williams shows that comedy often hides a depressed empty life. With all his talent and ability to help others and make them laugh, he couldn’t find his own way in life and ended it when there was help available and so many people loved him and would do anything for him.

Life is not a joke but a serious test to see whether or not we will seek out the truth and meaning of our existence. The Creator made us to serve Him and help others.

All human beings are born separated from God and need to seek Him and find Him because He is not far from everyone of us. God made us to glorify Him and show others what He is like.

Jesus was a man of sorrows and well acquainted with grief. He was despised and rejected by men but was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our inequities. The one who knew no sin became sin for us so we could be made the righteousness of God in Him.

People hide behind comedy and are laughing on the outside but crying on the inside. God loves them and wants to help them but has given them a free will to choose what kind of life they choose to live.

It is not what the world thinks of us that counts because all human beings are creatures of dust and have all gone their own way. When people always think about laughing and having fun, they forget that each of us will die and give an account of our life before the Creator.

God takes no delight in the death of anyone, but people are always seeking but never coming to a knowledge of the truth. They look for love in all the wrong places instead of seeking the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord.

May God minister to the family of Robin Williams and dry their tears and draw them close to His loving heart. May all people seek the Lord who can heal their broken hearts and lift the depression that comes from a life without God.
