Mr., Mrs. Pratt observe 56th anniversary

COLUMBIANA

Lee and Ruth Anne Pratt of Columbiana marked their 56th anniversary Aug. 23. The couple were married Aug. 23, 1958, at the Church of Christ in Daybrook, W.Va.

Their children are Allison (Mark) Horvath of Warren; David Pratt of Columbiana; and LuAnne (Jason) Bumgardner of Canfield. A son, Mark Blair Pratt, is deceased. The couple also have five grandsons and are expecting their first great-grandson.

Mrs. Pratt, the former Ruth Anne Moore, is a homemaker.

Mr. Pratt retired in 1997 from General Motors in Lordstown, where he was a foreman in the van plant. He was a fireman in the Air Force and served in the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany.

The couple are members of VFW Post 8691 of Washingtonville and American Legion of Leetonia. After their retirement they were DJs and did karaoke in the valley, where they were known as The General and Ruthie.
