Kenneth and Theresa Cummings of Poland are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Sara Cummings of Poland, and James Ludt Jr. of Jacksonville, N.C.

He is the son of James and Shauna Ludt of Youngstown.

The couple are planning an October wedding at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown. A reception will follow at The Georgetown in Youngstown. Invitations for both events are being issued.

The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in fashion and interiors merchandising.

The prospective groom is in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he is an aircraft mechanic. He is stationed in Jacksonville.
