7 arrested for marijuana possession in Campbell

Police were busy Thursday, arresting seven people on drug charges involving marijuana possession.

Officers arrested K.C. Rohn, 24, of Youngstown, a little after 9:30 a.m. on Wilson Avenue after a traffic stop. They found a suspected marijuana cigarette and a bag with marijuana residue in his vehicle. Rohn posted his $1,325 bond and was released. His court date is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday.

At 11:45 a.m., police arrested two adults and one minor near Robinson Road after a traffic stop, and they found a bag of suspected marijuana in the back of their vehicle. None of the individuals admitted to possession of the drugs. All three were arrested, and their vehicle was towed.

The two adults, Brandon Jackson, 18, and Darrell Harrison, 18, both of Campbell, have hearings set for 9 a.m. Tuesday in municipal court. The 17-year-old minor of Campbell will have a court date set in Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center.

Police noticed an unfamiliar man walking around the Kirwan homes about 7 p.m.

After officers pulled him aside, they asked him to remove his hat and contents from his pockets. Officers found a bag of suspected marijuana in the pockets of Ezequiel Rivera, 20, of Youngstown. He is charged with drug possession and had a court date set for 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Police observed a red Ford fail to obey a stop sign near Bright Avenue about 8:15 p.m.

An officer pulled the vehicle over and noticed suspicious behavior by the passengers in the vehicle. The officer requested a canine search of the car.

The police dog found a plastic wrapper with burnt residue from a suspected marijuana cigarette. Due to suspicion of narcotics, all three occupants in the car were searched, according to the report.

Raymond Opre, 29, of Canfield, said he had marijuana in his shoe. Jeromy Pratt, 21 of Youngstown, admitted the wrapper with burnt marijuana-cigarette residue was his. The other passenger was a minor and was not charged. Opre and Pratt will appear in court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
