Mahoning commissioners buy new vehicles for sheriff's office
YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County commissioners this morning bought six 2015 Ford Explorer sport utility vehicles for the sheriff's office from Lebanon (Ohio) Ford through the state purchasing program for an amount not to exceed $190,000.
The all-wheel-drive vehicles will be used for road patrols.
The commissioners also approved a contract with Thyssen Krupp Elevator Corp. to decommission three Oakhill Renaissance Place elevators for $25,866.
Oakhill is the county-owned former Forum Health Southside Medical Center, which is now a local government office complex.
