School supply backpacks available today at 2nd annual Child Support Awareness Day

YOUNGSTOWN — The second annual Child Support Awareness Day observance continues until 2 p.m. today in Lobby B of Oakhill Renaissance Place, 345 Oak Hill Ave.

Representatives of the Mahoning County Child Support Enforcement Agency, which is sponsoring the event, are on hand to meet the public.

Representatives of other agencies, including the Mahoning County Extension Office, which provides gardening and nutrition advice and coordinates the 4H program, and the Ohio Means Jobs career readiness program, are also present.

Schoolchildren are receiving free back packs filled with school supplies while supplies last.

Judge Beth Smith of Mahoning County Domestic Relations Court and Judge Theresa Dellick of the county’s juvenile court will be honored in a noon ceremony for their support of CSEA’s goals.

Child support debtors can have their driver’s licenses reinstated by appearing at CSEA offices at Oakhill and paying one month’s support plus $1 and a $25 license reinstatement fee in this month’s Deals for Your Wheels program.
