FOOD SALES AND DINNERS
FRIDAY
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.
King Solomon Lodge 87, 505 Highland Ave. SW, Warren, is having a fish fry from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meals can be eaten in, carried out or delivered. The menu offers catfish, whiting, perch or tilapia; a choice of three sides: green beans, macaroni and cheese, mean greens, potato salad or coleslaw; white bread, wheat bread or cornbread; and dessert. Dinners cost $10, and a fish sandwich is $7.
SATURDAY
Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick-Campbell Road, Hubbard, will host a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. It will include mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, bread and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Takeouts will be available, and a bake sale will be available for dessert.
Southington American Legion Post 751, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The meal comprises Swiss steak in gravy, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, beverage and dessert. Takeout will be available.
SUNDAY
Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $3 for one cake and one link, $5 for two cakes and two links, and $7 for all-you-can-eat pancakes and two links. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at the church office (exact change). Coffee, tea, orange drink and milk are included.
Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 3919 Southern Blvd., Youngstown, will host a corn roast from 5 to 7 p.m. All-you-can-eat hot dogs, a piece of pie and beverage are included. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Proceeds will benefit missions and church repairs.
TAKING ORDERS
Saxon Culture Group’s semiannual sausage sale will offer 3- and 5-pound packages of large links in mild, hot and Saxon-recipe garlic flavors and 5-pound packages of bulk in all flavors.
