Cops find arrow shot into side of home
CAMPBELL
A 34-year-old Campbell resident reported someone shot an arrow into the side of his Hyatt Avenue home about 3 p.m. Monday. Police officers arrived at the home not long after the call was made and found the arrow jutting out of the home’s siding.
Officers reported they suspect the person who shot the arrow lived in a residence just behind the victim. Police continue their investigation.
Man arrested
CAMPBELL
Police arrested a 25-year-old Warren man on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a drug-abuse instrument, and cited him for driving under suspension and failing to obey traffic laws.
An officer noticed a white Chevrolet Cobalt briefly stop at a red light on Wilson Avenue, and then speed off westbound without warning traffic about 1 p.m. Monday. Police followed the man through Warhurst Road and stopped him on Tenney Avenue.
The man identified himself to police as Timothy Bloom. Officers noted his driver’s license was expired and arrested him. Police searched his car and found a knife, a .243 caliber bullet shell casing and a needle suspected to be used to inject heroin. All items were taken by police as evidence.
Bloom posted his $6,500 bond and will appear Friday in Campbell Municipal Court.
Sentencing delayed
WARREN
Sentencing will be in about a month for Jennifer Light, 34, of North Park Avenue Extension in Bazetta Township, convicted of involuntary manslaughter and obstructing justice in the June 2013 death of her 4-year-old son.
Light was scheduled for sentencing Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, but Diane Barber, assistant Trumbull County prosecutor, said the sentencing would be delayed so the prosecutor’s office could further evaluate what sentence to recommend for her.
Scott H. Walker, 35, who lived with Light on North Park Avenue Extension in Bazetta at the time the boy died, was sentenced last week to 11 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter for hitting the boy, Nicholas Partin, in the stomach June 14.
