YPD finds drugs during traffic stops

Police found drugs and drug paraphernalia during a series of traffic stops over the weekend.

Reports said David Stigall, 46, of Elm Street, was arrested on charges of trafficking in drugs and having no operator’s license after he was spotted as the driver of a car that was stopped in the middle of the 100 block of Roslyn Avenue on the North Side about 3 p.m. Sunday.

When police stopped to question him, he admitted he had no license. When he got out of the car, officers found two large bags of suspected marijuana and some suspected marijuana stuffed inside a pill bottle. Stigall was taken to the Mahoning County jail.

About 11:45 p.m. Saturday, police arrested Felicia Wallace, 41, of Cain Court on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drugs/marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after she was questioned about walking in the roadway at Hillman Street and West Evergreen Avenue on the South Side.

Reports said Wallace told officers she had suspected marijuana in her bra, and when her purse was searched, police found a crack pipe and seven pills. She also was taken to the jail.

About 9:50 p.m. Saturday, police arrested Aleah Good, 22, of Idlewood Drive, Austintown, on a charge of possession of drugs (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was a passenger in a car pulled over for an improper turn in the city. Police found a dose of suspected heroin where she was sitting. A crack pipe was found later when she was searched as she was booked at the jail.

The car’s driver, Shawn Paullin, 35, of state Route 14, Columbiana, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension because he has several open suspensions on his license. He also was charged with possession of drugs/crack cocaine when police found a bag of suspected crack cocaine where he was sitting. He also was taken to the jail.
