Warren man faces charges after arrest in Campbell

CAMPBELL — Police arrested a 25-year-old Warren man on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a drug-abuse instrument, driving under suspension and failing to obey traffic laws.

An officer noticed a white Chevrolet Cobalt briefly stop at a red light on Wilson Avenue, and then speed off westbound without warning traffic about 1 p.m. Monday. Police followed the man through Warhurst Road and stopped him on Tenney Avenue.

The man identified himself to police as Timothy Bloom. Officers noted his driver’s license was expired and arrested him. Police searched his car and found a knife, a .243 caliber bullet shell casing and a needle suspected to be used to inject heroin. All items were taken as evidence.

Bloom posted his $6,500 bond and will appear Friday in Campbell Municipal Court.
