Police probe Poland thefts

POLAND — Township police are investigating a series of break-ins into vehicles and garages that occurred between Friday and Sunday on several streets.

A total of nine victims on Dobbins Road reported having items stolen from their vehicles between Saturday and Sunday, according to a police report.

Stolen items included wallets, drivers licenses, debit and credit cards, cash, medical insurance cards, various rewards cards, jewelry, checks, a Social Security card, drivers permits, a gas can filled with diesel fuel, cigarettes and a ring valued at $500.

A separate police report detailed a string of burglaries that took place on James Street and Poland Center Drive between Friday and Saturday.

A generator and cash were stolen from a garage and several cars on those roads.

A total of four victims filed a report regarding a theft and breaking and entering on Lyon Boulevard, Beechwood and Edgewater drives last week. Vehicles and garages also were broken into in these incidents.

Police Chief Brian Goodin said there are no suspects for the string of thefts at this time.
