Alexis Stewart and Michael Ross, both of Youngstown, were united in marriage during a 3:30 p.m. Aug. 2 ceremony at Mount Zion Baptist Church.

The Rev. Jack W. Pettis officiated.

A reception took place at OCCHA.

She is the daughter of Delores Staples and Thomas Stewart, both of Youngstown.

He is the son of Essie Furquan of Youngstown.

Tiffany Mays, the bride’s cousin, served as her maid of honor, and LaToya Ellis was her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Doreen Block and Brandi McGlothen. Attendants wore apple red dresses.

The flower girl was the bride’s daughter, Aaliyah Foster.

Patrick Jordan, brother of the groom, was his best man, and groomsmen were Alex Stewart and Jason Stewart, brothers of the bride, and Anthony Jones.

Serving as ring bearers were the grooms nieces, A’leena Howell and Tesha Clay.

The bride’s cousin, Darrin Stewart, was an usher.

Mrs. Ross attended Tennessee State University. She is employed as a CCA (city carrier assistant) for the United States Postal Service in Youngstown.

Mr. Ross attended Youngstown State University.

He works as an ambulette driver for Life Fleet Ambulance in North Lima.

He is an Army veteran.
