MVHS leaders will offer free program


YOUNGSTOWN

Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s Young Leaders Advisory Board is offering a free History-To-Go program from noon to 3 p.m. today at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, 325 W. Federal St.

The program will focus on the history of the former Rayen School of Youngstown.

A free lecture will be in the first floor gallery at 1:30 p.m. Vincent Shivers, Rayen Class of 1979, will present a history of the construction of the first school building on Wick Avenue, and Harry Mays, president of the Rayen Class of 1958, will discuss the school’s tradition of academic achievement.
