‘Meatballs’ film at MetroParks Farm

The animated film “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” will be screened at dusk Saturday at the Mill Creek MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road. The free event is the park’s annual Movie Under the Stars. The facility will open at 8 p.m. for activities, and the barn will be open late to visit the animals. Attendees should bring a blanket or chair and can also bring snacks. Popcorn, drinks and meatballs will also be sold.

‘Fat, Sick, Dead’ sequel at theater

The documentary “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2,” which offers a look at how to stay healthy in an unhealthy world, will debut in theaters nationwide, including Tinseltown (near Southern Park Mall), for one night only on Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. It is a sequel to the 2010 film in which Joe Cross took viewers on his journey from overweight and sick to healthy and fit via a 60-day juice fast. In the new film, he examines how to make healthy habits last for the long-term, and how lifestyle choices impact overall health. Experts present realistic solutions and strategies to make and maintain long-term sustainable improvements to eating behaviors and overall health.

Audiences at Tinseltown also will see 20 minutes of theater-only content to help shape their thinking on eating habits and their health.
