Stolen car found in Poland Woods, no suspects


POLAND — Village police are investigating a reported theft in which a car ended up abandoned in the Poland Municipal Forest.

According to a police report, a white 2013 Honda Pilot was discovered at the bottom of a hill leading down to Yellow Creek, about a quarter-mile into the woods from the Poland Manor entrance.

The car was running. No one was inside, and there were no footprints or blood on the scene.

Village Police Chief Russell Beatty said the vehicle was stolen from the owner. There are no suspects at this time, he added.
