ALLIANCES
Ohio Cultural Alliance begins its 28th year at a 6 p.m. dinner meeting on Sept. 8. Monsignor Peter M. Polando will address the theme “Going Places with the Ohio Cultural Alliance: The Holy Land.” The meeting will take place at Mount Carmel Social Hall, 343 Via Mt. Carmel, in Youngstown. Cultural enrichment will be provided by cellist the Rev. Vit Fiala. Memberships, which in this transitional year will run from Sept. 2014 through Dec. 2015, will continue at $25 per person, and the cost for each meeting is $15 for each paid-up member and $20 for each nonmember. There will be no meetings in January or February 2015. Reservations may be mailed to OCA, Box 561, Canfield, OH 44406, and must be received no later than Sept. 3. Those attending are encouraged to take paper products to be given to Beatitude House.
