Kristan competes at national camp
Bryan Kristan, senior kicker for the Canfield Cardinal Football team, recently competed at the Kohl’s Kicking National Invitational Camp in Wales, Wis. This two day event brought together nearly 500 of the best high school kickers, punters and snappers from around the United States. The highlight of Kristan’s first day of competition was making a 55-yard field goal. That was followed by three successful 50-yard field goal attempts. During the kickoff phase, Kristan averaged 63 1/2 yards on his kickoffs putting the ball clearly into the end zone each time. The competition continued the second day. The final results were tabulated and the athletes were ranked. For the overall event, Kristan was rated four out of five stars, and with nearly 500 national competitors, Kristan ranked 130th in field goals, and ranked 170th in kickoffs.
