Large and heavy cast iron bell stolen from Liberty yard

A Wildfern Drive resident is reporting the theft of a large cast-iron bell from her back yard.

She reported it missing Wednesday.

The bell is from a train that was used at the old Sheet & Tube Steel Mill. It was obtained 60 years ago, a police report says.

The owner told police it weighs several hundred pounds, and more than one man would have been needed to lift it.
