Car hits woman, 3 young kids

COLUMBUS

Police say a turning car struck a woman and her three young children in a crosswalk, and the woman’s 2-year-old daughter was flown to a hospital in critical condition.

Columbus police say the collision occurred Wednesday afternoon on the city’s east side. Police say the woman had a 6-day-old infant in a sling-type carrier and was walking next to her 7-year-old son and the toddler when the group was struck.
