Twenty-six employees will be laid off from Delphi Corp.’s Plant 11 as of Monday.

According to The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, 21 WFMJ-TV, 20 of those employees at the metal stamping plant work in the skilled trades; the remaining six work on the plant floor.

The connectors produced at the plant are part of a wiring harness that goes into cars and trucks. Workers from other area plants could be impacted, since some will be moved to Plant 11 to continue production. No more layoffs are expected at this time.
