Register Friday for annual Zombie Run

Early registration is Friday for Frightmare Forest’s second annual Zombie Run will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 13, at Lazy Dazy Farm, 2061 Atkinson Ave. on the city’s East Side.

Early registration is $25, and “living prey” registration costs $35. The two-mile course is part of the Zombie Apocalypse Festival. Registration spots are now available. The late-registration fee is $35 for Zombie runners and $45 for living prey.

The run is filled with both natural and man-made obstacles to help runners outwit the herds of zombies who are out to devour them.

Participants may choose to run as a zombie or as living zombie prey and must run to safety before a zombie captures their flag.

If you survive, an official after party will be at Suzie’s Dogs and Drafts, 32 N. Phelps St.

This year’s festival will feature live broadcasts, a disc jockey and music from local bands.

This event is open to the public and admission is a nonperishable food item that will be donated to the Big Reach Center of Hope in Greenford. A portion of all proceeds will also be donated to Big Reach.
