A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown Township:

CANFIELD

Aug. 4

Arrest: DeShawn Webb, 35, of North Raccoon Road, surrendered to police on a mayor’s court warrant for failure to appear.

Aug. 6

Warrant: Police arrested Clinton Scott, 36, of state Route 62, Salem, on a Columbiana warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation.

Aug. 7

Drugs: Police arresed Rafael Cotto, 45, of Youngstown-Salem Road, on charges of drug possession and drug paraphernalia.

Criminal trespass: Police arrested Judith Snyder, 37, of Maple Street, Canfield, on a charge of criminal trespassing.

AUSTINTOWN

Aug. 4

Theft: A male purchased a stolen cellphone at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: A male reported having $281.89 withdrawn from his account at a home in the 2000 block of Frostwood Drive.

Fraud: An elderly male victim’s identification was obtained to try and get an income tax return at a home in the 5000 block of Callaway Circle.

Breaking and entering: Copper was cut out of a vacant house in the 10 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Fraud: A female victim had her account compromised at a home in the 2000 block of Woodgate Street.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a debit account at a home in the 100 block of Edgewater Circle.

Assault: A parent and a coach were parties to an assault at Austintown Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road.

Auto theft: A 2002 GMC Sonoma was stolen at the Ice House Inn, 5516 W. Webb Road.

Assault: A fight ensued between two women at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.

Theft: A pitching machine was taken at Austintown Baseball Association, 600 N. Raccoon Road. There were no signs of forced entry.

Recovered property: A bicycle was recovered at the Highway Tabernacle, 3000 S. Raccoon Road.

Aug. 5

Breaking and entering: There was a break-in reported at Smoker Friendly, 1643 S. Raccoon Road

Attempted breaking and entering: A large hole was made in the rear of Check-N-Go, 1600 S. Raccoon Road. No entry was gained.

Aug. 6

Theft: A theft was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Cavalcade Drive.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were reported at a home in the 300 block of Wyndclift Place.

Theft: Money was reported stolen at Highway Tabernacle.

Warrant: Richard Lawler, 35, of Central Parkway, Warren, was arrested on a warrant for obstructing official business.

Aug. 7

Criminal damaging: A glass window was broken out at Austintown Early Learning Center, 4211 Evelyn Road.

Theft: Fraudulent charges were made on a debit account for a homeowner who lives in the 1000 block of Signature Drive.

Theft: Prescription pills were taken from an unlocked vehicle at a home in the 400 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: A flat-screen television and Xbox with controllers were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Lynhaven Road.

Theft: Items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a home in the 400 block of Westgate Boulevard.

Warrant: Police arrested Jeffrey Long, 48, of Roslyn Street, Youngstown, on a warrant for criminal simulation when found with seven counterfeit $50 bills at McDonald’s Restaurant, 3034 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police issued a summons to James Kitchen, 28, of Merri Drive, North Jackson, on a charge of theft at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave. Police have accused him of taking $131.50 in merchandise.

Theft: Unauthorized charges were made on a Home Savings and Loan card belonging to a resident who lives in the 400 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Criminal damaging: College Park Baseball, 5706 Vassar Ave., was spray painted.

Warrant: Police arrested Anthony West, 29, of Matta Avenue, Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic charge.

Aug. 8

Assault: An assault was reported at a home in the 5000 block of Callaway Circle.

Burglary: A door was kicked in and a bedroom ransacked at a home in the 200 block of Westminster Avenue.

Theft: Money was removed from an account of a resident who lives in the 300 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: A chain saw was taken at Tractor Supply Co., 6225 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: Two vehicle tires were slashed at a home in the 100 block of North Kimberly Avenue.

Theft: A total of $37.51 in fuel was stolen at the BP Fast Trac, 5502 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Kevin Sierra-Tirado, 19,of Compass West Drive, on charges of possession of drugs, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police found a metal marijuana grinder containing suspected marijuana and 141 small plastic zip-top baggies, one with suspected marijuana residue.

Aug. 9

Recovered tools: Cutting tools and wires were recovered in the 3000 block of Oakwood Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Mary Young, 39, of Motor Inn Drive, Girard, on a warrant for criminal trespassing.

Lost or stolen property: An iPod was lost or taken from a home in the 1000 block of North Navarre Avenue.

Fraud: A homeowner in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive was scammed out of money.

Criminal damaging: A pool was damaged at a home in the 2000 block of Penny Lane.

Theft: A bicycle was stolen at a home in the 200 block of South Meridian Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Danny Bullen, 44, of Butler Avenue, Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

Burglary: An Xbox One system was stolen from a home in the 5000 block of South Saratoga Avenue.

Theft: Three unauthorized charges were reported by a resident who lives in the 500 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Aug. 10

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Andrew Dunn, 20, of Westminster Avenue, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia with marijuana residue and underage possession of alcohol.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to James Thomas, 26, of Timberbrook Drive, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug abuse of Clonazepan.

Aggravated menacing: Threats were made on the Facebook page of a resident who lives in the 5000 block of Nashua Drive.

Burglary: A military uniform and Springfield XDM-4s handgun were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Georgetown Place.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Walmart.

Theft: Several tools were taken from Walmart.
