Group places in Relay for Life competition

Generations Insurance Group, 2650 Township Highway 460 NE, raised $6,565 for the largest Relay for Life in the state. They recently participated on the gold team and placed 14th out of 85 teams in raising funds. They finished 37th among all participants and were awarded a first place trophy for the Best Educational Program in the Children’s Games event.

The annual Relay for Life is an overnight community fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, where teams camp out and take turns walking for pledges. Funds are contributed to research to improve cancer patients’ quality of life through lifestyle changes and new therapies.
