Woman gets $85K bond in assault case

YOUNGSTOWN — A woman police say chased a car Saturday night with four people inside is in the Mahoning County jail on $85,000 bond.

Gracie Rollins, 28, of Zedekar Avenue, was arraigned in municipal court today before Judge Elizabeth Kobly on four counts of felonious assault, a second degree felony; and a misdemeanor count of aggravated menacing.

Rollins was arrested after police were called to Zedaker Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Saturday for a report of a woman driving a silver vehicle who tried to run another vehicle off the road. Police were given Rollins’ name but when they went to her home she was not there, reports said.

Police then spotted a vehicle Rollins was driving that matched a description of the vehicle that was used in the attack. They saw it come down the street with no lights on and back into a drive four houses up. Police went to investigate and Rollins told them she was going to pick up a friend, reports said.
