“Air Jaws: FIN OF FURY” (8 P.M., DISCOVERY CHANNEL): Sharknados, thankfully, come and go. But summer is not complete without this long-running celebration of our favorite toothy, ocean-dwelling predators. The event turns 27 this year and kicks off with “Air Jaws: Fin of Fury.” It’s a special that deploys new super cameras and high-tech gizmos as a team searches for the missing “megashark” named Colossus. Just one question: What if the big guy really doesn’t want to be found?

“Teen Choice 2014” (9 P.M., FOX): The annual awards honoring accomplishments in entertainment, fashion, the Internet and sports turns 16. Sweet!

“Fat Guys in the Woods” (10 p.m., Weather Channel): “Fat Guys in the Woods” is a new reality series that delivers on its title: Bulgy dudes are pried off the couch and plopped into the wild, where they learn to build shelter, start fire and hunt with their bare hands. Cannibalism, we suspect, is prohibited.

“Food Network Star” (10 p.m., Food): Season 10 concludes.
