1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Church, Fifth Street, Struthers, in the great hall. John Texter will preside. Local 1199 Retirees will have a monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Monday at the union hall at 310 Church Hill-Hubbard Road. Guests are welcome.

Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, will meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 to discuss future programs for the Gathering Place, Canfield Senior Events. This is a free community outreach social program offered to senior citizens at 11 a.m. on the second Monday of each month. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Seniors will have a picnic at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the social hall after the noon Mass. Sears Friendship Club will meet at noon Monday at Jean Orrin’s condo for its annual picnic.

St. Anthony’s Senior Club will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Faini Hall. There is no luncheon committee for this meeting, so take your own lunch. Coffee will be available at noon.

St. Brendan 60-Plus Club Seniors will meet at noon Monday for its annual picnic at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg. Trumbull Retired Teachers will meet at noon Tuesday. The speaker will be Betty Strawderman, founder of Betty’s Angels, an organization that seeks to protect the youngest victims of homelessness, sexual abuse, drug addiction and neglect. TRTA will also host ORTA District XI Director Jean Slicker and Dr. Susan Herr, who will conduct free hearing screenings from 11 a.m. to noon. Mary Fuller, hospitality chairwoman, will have centerpieces for sale; profits will benefit Mobile Meals. TRTA will collect candle wax , canceled stamps, cell phones, eyeglasses, hearing aids and yarn.
