Mark Lee Pringle and his band will be featured during an Elvis Gospel Sunday. Pringle said the band plays at two such events. One near Elvis’ birthday (Jan. 8, 1935) in January and another in August near the anniversary of his death (Aug. 16, 1977). Pringle said Elvis is the “most imitated” entertainer in the world. There are some 85,000 Elvis tribute artists of all colors and cultures with 95 percent of those doing the “white jumpsuit” Elvis.

When: 10 a.m. Aug. 31 service with such selections as “Amazing Grace” and “Peace in the Valley.”

Where: Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren. Brenda Pringle, Mark’s wife, is music director at the church.
