Boardman police investigating gift-card scam

BOARDMAN — Police are investigating a case of misuse of a credit card at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive, reported Thursday.

According to a police report, a store employee said she had been advised by Walmart staff in Warren that two men had been purchasing Walmart gift cards with stolen credit cards all along the East Coast.

The employee reported she found video surveillance from Tuesday of two men matching the description, and that they had purchased a gift card for $650.
