Restaurant week kicks off Saturday in the Mahoning Valley

BOARDMAN — Starting Saturday, restaurant week in the area restaurants will participate in an effort to focus on local foods.

Restaurant week is from Aug. 9 through Aug. 16 and several area establishments will be selling menu items where the food has been sourced from within a 30-mile radius.

Restaurant week is part of the efforts to promote the local 30-mile meal effort to get people to buy products from local suppliers.
