New North Jackson assisted living almost complete

Construction on a $9 million assisted-living and memory-care center here is almost complete.
The Antonine Village will complement the Antonine Sisters’ 23-year-old adult day-care facility.
A total of 50 apartments — 21 for adults with memory impairment and the rest assisted living — will make up the village that is planned to open in November at 2675 N. Lipkey Road.
Those living in the village will be provided 24-hour nursing care, three meals a day, housekeeping, laundry services social activities and other services.
The number of potential employees hired will depend on how many apartments are filled, a spokesman said.
Applicants with nursing, dietary, housekeeping backgrounds will be hired.
K. Anthony Hayek of MS Consultants was the architect on the project, and B&B Construction of Youngstown was the general contractor.
The Antonine Sisters of North Jackson are a seven-member community of Maronite Catholic religious women.
