Kokrak shoots 78 in return

LOUISVILLE, KY. — Jason Kokrak's return to the PGA Tour was a bit rough on Thursday.

Kokrak shot a first-round 78 in his first appearance since undergoing sports hernia surgery in mid-May.

Kokrak, a Warren JFK High School graduate and former Xavier University standout, had a triple-bogey 7 on No. 2 and six bogeys at Valhalla Golf Club.

His round included two birdies and nine pars.
