Wings-n-Wheels to celebrate aviation museum's opening
SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The second annual Wings-n-Wheels is headed for SLOAS Airfield, 4059 N. River Road, Warren, which is 4 miles west of the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, on Saturday and Sunday. The event marks the grand opening of the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum.

The second annual Wings-n-Wheels will take place Saturday and Sunday at SLOAS Airfield, 4059 N. River Road.
This fly-in, cruise-in event is open to everyone to celebrate the opening of the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum. More than 150 planes are anticipated to fly in over the weekend. SLOAS Airfield is 4 miles west of the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport.
SATURDAY
On Saturday admission will be $6, and free for children 12 and under with an adult. Hours that day are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and features follow:
Tractors, motorcycles and some airplanes
Grand opening of the aviation museum
Live music beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the Family Pride Blue Grass Band and Haymaker — The Rock Band
Airplane rides all day at $40 per person with family rates available
Merchandise sale, such as T-shirts, dog tags, caps, polos, etc.
Children’s activities, such as photos in Corsair and T-shirts, inflatables
Food vendors and more
SUNDAY
Sunday’s admission is $10; 12 and under get in free with an adult. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and that day’s features follow:
Classic cars and cool airplanes
Grand opening of the museum
Stars of “Fat & Furious” will sign autographs all day; T-shirts for sale
New Dodge Hellcat seen for the first time anywhere
See the Batmobile
Live music beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Revolution, Tongue and Groove and the Main Street Lions
Fly-bys and landings. 9 a.m., Staggerwing PT-13; 9:30, Titan T-51 Mustangs; 10, BT-19 WWII trainer; noon, RV formation; 1 p.m., C123 Provider fly-by.
Remote control airplane demonstration at 2 p.m.
