The Volney Rogers Youth Association, the city’s oldest football league, will kick off its 86th football season on Saturday with a Preseason Showcase and a Parade for Peach. All former players, cheerleaders, coaches and fans are welcome to attend the event at Dreamers Field-City of God (formerly Idora Park).

All nine teams in the league will be playing with games running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Parade for Peace will start at 9 a.m. with players, cheerleaders, coaches, and local organizations participating.
