July 27
Sick raccoon: A sick raccoon was reported at a home on North Hillside Drive. Police killed the animal.
July 28
Warrant: Police arrested Nathan Minerd, 27, of Crestview Road, New Waterford, on a mayor’s court warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation.
Sick raccoon: A sick raccoon was reported in Topaz Circle. Police killed the animal.
Theft: Police arrested Evan Mikula, 29, and Sonnie Mikula, 32, both of Tals-man Drive, on charges of theft and receiving stolen property.
July 29
Arrest: Police arrested Nicole Hodges, 34, of Colonial Street, Warren, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
July 30
Drug abuse: Police arrested Joseph McIntosh, 26, of Quaker Church Road, East Rochester, on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.
July 31
Warrant: Police arrested Nicholas Farabaugh, 26,of McNally Court, Alliance, on a mayor’s court warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation.
Warrant: Police arrested Shelly Rugar, 22,of Goshen Road, Salem, on a warrant from Mahoning County Area Court in Austintown for theft. He also is charged with possessing drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.
AUSTINTOWN
July 28
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Brad Walker, 20, of East Auburndale Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of possession of marijuana and cigar wrapping papers.
Warrant: Police arrested Robert Truslow, 25, of North Edgehill Avenue, on warrants charging him with receiving stolen property and theft.
Theft: Tarps from a parked truck were stolen at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Obstructing: Police arrested Evan Mikulka, 29, of 261 Talsman Drive, Canfield, on a charge of obstructing official business.
Arrest: Police arrested Jack Wolfgang, 49, of Frederick Street, on a charge of domestic violence.
Theft: Police arrested Ross Vaughn, 28, of Lincoln Avenue, Mineral Ridge, on charges of theft, complicity to theft, and possession of criminal tools. Police said they found in his possession $237, a black knife and $111 in merchandise reported stolen from Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave. Police also arrested Elaine Speicher, 39, of the same address, after she failed to explain how she was in possession of $1,615.59. She faces charges of complicity to theft and possession of criminal tools.
Theft: Police arrested three people on theft charges for reportedly taking four 4 Boost cellphones valued at $848.81 and other assorted merchandise. They are Ashley Cofield, 24, of Jackson St., Warren; Shachara Lewis, 24, of Niles Road, Warren; and Kori Bennett, 25, of Southern Boulevard. Police also charged Lewis with drug abuse of suspected heroin.
Theft: Checkbooks were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Driftwood Lane.
Disturbance: A fight between neighbors was reported at a home in the 50 block of Kenmar Court.
July 30
Warrant: Police arrested Robert Wright, 60, of Canton, on a warrant charging theft.
Fraud: An account was opened in the victim’s name at a home in the 100 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
Theft: A girl’s bicycle was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Moorefield Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was deliberately scratched. It was parked at a home in the 2000 block of Spring Meadow Circle.
Warrants: Police arrested Robert Kendall, 24, of Dearborn Street, Youngstown, on a warrant charging tampering with records and theft. Police also arrested Kristen Kendall, no age given, same address, on the same charges, and Kristen Vanetten, 29, of Roosevelt Drive, Youngstown, on a warrant charging tampering with records and theft.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Alex Kotch, 21, of Georgetown Place, on a drug-offense charge.
Theft: Police arrested Katie O’Hara, 24, of Rosemont Avenue, as a suspect in a theft at Walmart. She was released later on a summons.
July 31
Aggravated menacing: A male threatened a female via telephone on state Route 46.
Criminal damaging: A juvenile with a BB gun shot at the building at Aardvark, 5329 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: Four fraudulent checks were reported at Northeast Ohio Network, 5121 Mahoning Ave.
Drug offense: Police arrested Jason Walters, 35, of Selkirk Road, on charges of drug abuse of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Warrant: Police arrested Louis Mullens, 37, of Burkey Road, and turned him over to Youngstown police on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court.
Aug. 1
Breaking and entering: A power line was cut and a fence was cut and taken from a home in the 1000 block of South Meridian Road.
Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Melissa Paterchak, 48, of South Raccoon Road on a charge of disorderly conduct.
Fraud: A loan was obtained by unidentified people using the victim’s information. The victim lives in a home in the 400 block of Rhode Island Drive.
Criminal damaging: Damage to a mailbox was done by a neighbor at a home in the 500 block of Southwood Drive.
Warrant: Police arrested Steven Fleischer, 29, of Placid Avenue, on five charges of unlawful conduct with a minor.
Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Daniel Miklos, 58, of Old Furnace Road, Youngstown, on a charge of disorderly conduct at Billy’s, 40 S. Meridian Road.
Attempted burglary: A window was broken at a home in the 5000 block of Argonne Drive.
Criminal trespass: Police arrested Christina Baluch, 48, no address listed, on a charge of criminal trespassing.
Aug. 3
Arrest: Police arrested Brian Habeggar, 45, of Nassau Court, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug abuse of marijuana.
Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Adam Bowden, 35, of Nantucket Drive, on a charge of disorderly conduct.
Burglary: A house was entered and money taken from a pant pocket. The home is in the 1000 block of Countyline Road.
Burglary: Jewelry was taken from a home in the 3000 block of Burkey Road.
Theft: A cellphone was taken from a room at the Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive.
Criminal trespass: Police arrested Anthony Winterburn, 38, of Parkgate Avenue, on a charge of criminal trespassing at Chipper’s Sports Bar & Grill, 5 N. Edgehill Ave.
