Police: 1 woman ran down another with her car in Columbus
COLUMBUS (AP) — Police in Columbus say a central Ohio woman ran down an acquaintance with a car during an argument, causing serious injuries.
A report says 23-year-old Kandace Ellis was hospitalized after the argument early today. Twenty-three-year-old Laquisha Haskins of Columbus was jailed on charges of felonious assault.
The report says they were arguing in the car about 2:45 a.m. when it was stopped and both got out. The report says that when Ellis began walking to the sidewalk, Haskins got into the car, made a U-turn and then purposefully drove into Ellis.
The hospital didn’t have an updated condition for Ellis this afternoon.
Haskins was in jail and has a court appearance scheduled for Thursday.
