Poland man faces drug charges after arrest in Boardman


BOARDMAN — Township police arrested a man Tuesday at the Shops at Boardman Park, 389 Boardman-Poland Road, on several drug-related charges.

Nino Carosella, 33, of Poland, is charged with possession of drug-abuse instruments and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged for drug abuse, a felony.

Police arrested Carosella after someone reported a man leaving Kohl’s, throwing a backpack into nearby bushes and running toward the Target store.

Police found prescriptions, three hypodermic needles and a spoon with heroin residue in the backpack.

After capturing Carosella in front of Target, police found a small amount of suspected of heroin in his pocket.

Carosella is set to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here Thursday.
