CAMPBELL

City police arrested two people on charges of possession of drugs in just a few hours late Monday and early Tuesday.

About 5:30 p.m. Monday, police pulled over 28-year-old Lesean Edge of Royal Mall Drive in Niles for failing to signal his turn.

During the traffic stop, Edge admitted to officers the car was a rental and that he did not have a valid driver’s license.

He also told police that 13.6 grams of suspected marijuana were in the car’s center console. Police confiscated the drugs, along with $913 in cash. He is set to appear at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Campbell Municipal Court on the first-degree misdemeanor drug-possession charge.

Shortly after midnight Tuesday, police stopped 20-year-old Tyler R. Pagley of Hubbard Bedford Road in Hubbard for purportedly speeding. According to a report, police immediately noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the car.

A search of the car produced 0.2 grams of suspected marijuana in a pill bottle, a glass bong, two glass pipes, a metal grinder and $289 in cash.

Pagley will appear at 9 a.m. Friday in court on a first-degree misdemeanor drug-possession charge.
