7th Buddy Walk fundraiser for Down syndrome is Saturday

BOARDMAN — The Down Syndrome Association of the Valley will host its seventh Buddy Walk of the Valley on Saturday at the Shops at Boardman Park.

More than 1,800 people are expected to attend this year’s walk, which is one of several planned across the country to raise awareness and funds for programs that benefit people with Down syndrome and their families.

Participants will enjoy food and entertainment, dunk tank, clowns, mascots and face painting.

The registration fee is $13 per person and includes T-shirt, walk entrance and access to all games and entertainment. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk at 10. Participants can register day of the walk.
