MYCAP summer heating goes through Aug. 31

YOUNGSTOWN
Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership’s Summer Crisis Program continues through Aug. 31.
The Summer Crisis Program assists eligible households with electric bill payments, receipt of an air conditioner and/or fan(s), and possible central air conditioning repair.
Applicants are eligible if total household income is at or below 175 percent of the 2014 federal poverty guidelines.
Customers must have an appointment to be assisted. Mahoning County residents can call the automated scheduling line at 866-223.1125. Western Mahoning County residents are to call the Sebring office at 330-938-6166.
A limited number of walk-in customers will be seen beginning at 8 a.m., Monday through Friday. Walk-in customers are households with no electric service.
If there is a household member over age 60 living in the home, medical documentation is not required.
If there are no household member over age 60 in the home, a household member must have medical documentation from a physician or nurse practitioner that states “Due to an illness, this client would benefit from continued electric service and/or air conditioning.”
