GM names new Lordstown plant manager


LORDSTOWN — Steve Notar Donato is the new General Motors Lordstown Complex plant manager effective Aug. 1.

Notar Donato, formerly plant manager, GM Marion, Ind., Stamping, was promoted to replace Bob Parcell, who was recently promoted to manufacturing manager, GM International Operations based in Singapore.

Notar Donato comes to the plant with more than 27 years at GM. He began his career as a college graduate in training and progressed through multiple assignments in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering and labor relations.

He has worked at several GM facilities including Flint Stamping, Lansing Stamping, New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., Orion Assembly, Parma Metal Center, Wentzville Assembly and Marion.

He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in manufacturing management from Kettering University.
