Burglary reported in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN

A home was burglarized sometime over the weekend in the township.

A resident of Burkey Road told police that sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Sunday someone entered their attached garage through the rear door.

From there, they entered through a kitchen door into the residence and opened drawers and cabinets looking for items.

At the time of the report, it was unknown what was taken and there were no signs of forced entry.

Detectives are investigating.
