Boardman police investigate robbery
BOARDMAN
Township police are investigating a case of aggravated robbery that occurred Friday on Southern Boulevard.
The victim of the robbery was walking southbound on Southern Boulevard near Shadyside Drive, on the west side of the train tracks, Friday afternoon when two men ran up to him, according to a police report.
According to the report, one of the men attempted to grab the victim's iPhone and said "It's the first of the month, what you got for us?"
The other man pointed a gun at the victim and demanded that the suspect give them his things.
After the suspect with the gun put the gun in his waistband, the victim fled from the scene. The suspects did not pursue him.
The incident was witnessed by someone else who was traveling on Southern Boulevard at the time.
The first suspect is described as a black male, 17-18 years old, about 5'10" and 160 pounds with curly medium length black hair with a blonde streak in it. The victim stated that this suspect was carting a black 9mm handgun.
The second suspect is described as a black male, 15-16 years old, about 5'7", with short black hair.
They were last seen walking in the area of Shadyside Drive.
