YSU invites public to Tressel's installation ceremony

YOUNGSTOWN

James P. Tressel will be installed as the ninth president of Youngstown State University during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 18 in Beeghly Center.

The ceremony, which includes the oath of office and an address by Tressel, is open to the public. Free parking will be available on campus.

A reception will immediately follow the installation ceremony. The ceremony will be streamed live at http://www.horizonleague.org/live/11613

After a national search, the YSU Board of Trustees voted unanimously in May to appoint Tressel as the university’s chief executive. He took office July 1.
