Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. Guests are welcome.

Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at Canfield Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. Monday. Blood pressure screenings will be available from noon to 12:45. Regina Reese from YSU will present a program on Johnny Appleseed. The September meeting will be a covered dish picnic. Bus trips are scheduled for Aug. 24 to the Mentor Performing Arts Center for the Shoji Tabuchi Show. Call 330-337-7133 for information. Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield for lunch and a program regarding home security. Reservations should be made by calling Linda Wiland, president, at 330-318-8472. The cost is $11. The group of seniors meet the first Thursday each month for lunch and a program or bingo. Retired men, women and couples 55 and older are invited to attend. Cornersburg residency is not required. Annual dues are $5. Greeters are Carolyn Steiner and Naomi Schuller.

Freetimers, a group of retirees of Youngstown State University, will have its monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg. All retirees are invited.

Happy Wanderers will meet at noon Aug. 15 at the Kyle Pavilion in Harding Park for its annual picnic. Hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, condiments, paper products and beverages will be provided. Take a dish or dessert. Arrive early enough to allow cooking time for your meat choice. There is a price cut for the Pennsylvania Dutch Tour featuring “Moses” on Sept. 12-13, reserve now. Remaining tours for 2014 are: Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens Tour on Oct. 10; and Festival of Trees, Warthers Museum and J.E. Reeves Mansion, Nov. 18. S.O.A.R. 27-2 and 27-6 Steelworkers Retirees, Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome. There will be no meeting in September.
