$3,000 seized in drug raids

Armed with search warrants, authorities raided two city locations, seizing stolen property and $3,000 in cash Friday, according to the Columbiana County Drug Task Force.

Seized at 597 Walnut St. were drug paraphernalia, suspected crack cocaine, $1,400 in cash, digital scales, stolen property and cellular phones.

Bradley DeAtley was arrested there on an outstanding Mahoning County warrant.

Seized at 162 W. Pershing St. was $1,600 in cash and a large amount of stolen property from a Thursday break-in at Club Fuel, 188 Railroad St.

The Walnut Street search led to a traffic stop in which Marvin Harsch was arrested on a secret indictment on charges of drug possession and, Melanie Sobek was arrested on a warrant charging unpaid child support.

Further charges against multiple suspects are pending after the eight-month investigation by the task force, the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office and Special Response Team and Salem police.
