Stacie Policy and Mathew Sweely Jr. were united in marriage during a June 21 ceremony at St. Christine Church with the Rev. John Keehner presiding. A reception at the Georgetown in Boardman followed.
She is the daughter of Sherrie Seruga of Austintown and Marc Policy of Boardman. He is the son of Mathew and Marion Sweely of Austintown.
The bride attended Youngstown State University and works at Cocca’s Pizza in Canfield.
The groom also attended YSU and is a shift leader for the Cornersburg/Austintown Dairy Queen.
The bride’s white strapless satin ball gown featured beaded embroidery and a beaded bodice. The pickup dress had a sweetheart neckline and a cathedral-length train.
Nicolette Burke, cousin of the groom, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Sturgeon, cousin of the groom; Alyssa Seruga, sister of the bride; and Liz Patek.
Participating as flower girl was Tara Sweely, daughter of the bride and groom.
The maid of honor wore Kelly green, and the bridesmaids wore watermelon pink.
Dominic Moltchan performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Sean Sweely, brother of the groom; Joseph Burke, cousin of the groom; and Adam Kocjancic.
Danny Weir and Kaden Sweely, nephews of the groom, served as ring bearers.
