Christopher Castillo and Nora Camellia Rogers were united in marriage in an outdoor ceremony at 4:15 p.m. May 10 at The Lake House at Bulow. A reception followed at the same location. Dr. Bob Cathers officiated at the ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Lewanda Hardy of Dallas, Ga., and Dr. Michael Rogers of Albany, Ga., graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She works as vice president of logistics and operations for NPR Global Sourcing in Charleston.
The groom, son of Angela and Rigoberto Castillo of Austintown, graduated from Westminster College with a degree in education and a master’s degree in curriculum instruction. He is a third-grade teacher at Eagle’s Nest Elementary in Summerville, S.C.
The bride wore a tiered mermaid satin gown with a low back and chiffon veil and sash. The bride and bridal party carried borrowed vintage handkerchiefs from the bride’s grandmother.
Mary Burns and Linette Cleary served as matrons of honor. They wore tan dresses.
The groom’s wedding band was passed down from the bride’s late grandfather and family.
The groom’s brother, Alex Castillo, served as best man, and Adam Pollick served as groomsman. Ring bearer was Jack Rogers, the bride’s nephew.
The couple’s grandmothers, Wanda Johnson and Clara Murchek, were the flower girls.
The couple are planning their honeymoon for 2015. They live in Moncks Corner, S.C.
