North Eastern Gospel Music Revival will be Aug. 9 at Rogers Assembly of God, 8251 Sprucevale Road. Doors open at 4 p.m. with the concert starting at 5.

Performing will be Russ Nottingham of Garrettsville; Calvary’s Love of Doylestown, Ohio; Nicholas Naylor Ministries of Pinch, W.Va.; and Glorybound of Negley, Ohio.

The church youth group will sell food in the fellowship hall.

A free-will offering will be taken.

Benefit ride

Don Cherry’s fifth Pedal for the Pantry garnered more than $1,000 to benefit the food pantry at Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel NW.

Cherry presented the check to Shirley Frazier, social concerns and food pantry chairperson, during a worship service.

Cherry participated in the World of Wildlife 68-mile bike ride.

Frazier will use the money to help serve the nearly 60 families in need at the monthly food distribution.
