Wellness walk in downtown Youngstown is Saturday, some streets closed

YOUNGSTOWN — The second African-American Male Wellness Walk/Run of the Mahoning Valley is Saturday. Health screenings begin at 7 a.m., and the walk/run starts at 9 a.m.

Many streets in will be closed from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday to accommodate the walk/run.

Streets to be closed include Front Street between Walnut and Market streets; Market between Front and Woodland Avenue; Woodland between Market and Oak Hill Avenue; Ridge Street between Market and Oak Hill; Glenwood Avenue between Parkview Avenue and Lake Drive; Dutton Drive and Warner streets closed; Oak Hill between High and Chalmers streets; Cleveland and Marion streets, both closed between Oak Hill and Hillman; and Hillman between Cleveland and Marionstreets.

Some secondary roads also may be affected for a brief time as the run/walk passes by.
