Annual Pymatuning Lake Fest returns this weekend
Staff report
ANDOVER
Pymatuning Lake Fest, one of the biggest and longest-running family festivals in Ashtabula County, returns for its 32nd year Saturday and Sunday.
The Pymatuning State Park main beach area (located at 5354 Pymatuning Lake Road), south of the Route 85 causeway, is the staging area for the event featuring artisans and crafters, continuous entertainment, activities, rides and games, inflatable activities, pontoon boat rides, food concessions, a beauty pageant and contests for all ages.
The Lake Fest draws about 15,000 people over the two days.
The entrance to the festival will be south on Pymatuning Lake Road, not off the causeway highway. The causeway is an exit-only route now.
There is a donation requested at the ticket gates for visitors.
Hours are 10 a.m. to dusk on Saturday, with a fireworks finale about 9 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. An all-day wristband for most kids’ activities is $5, and most of the other activities are free.
All dogs must be on a leash, and there will be a parking lot shuttle service.
